Description

777279-001 is an 8-bay small form factor 2.5" SAS/SATA backplane board designed for select ProLiant Gen9 server systems using an 8-SFF hot-swap drive cage. This backplane mounts to the rear of the 8-bay SFF drive cage and provides the internal drive interface for up to eight 2.5" SAS or SATA hard drives and solid-state drives.

This is a 12Gb/s SAS-capable backplane for systems configured with 2.5" SFF Smart Carrier drive bays. It is commonly used in DL380 Gen9, DL180 Gen9, and ML350 Gen9 8-SFF configurations and may also cross-reference with certain compatible 8-SFF ProLiant storage cage assemblies.
