- This is a 3.5" SATA hard drive and will not fit 2.5" laptop-only drive bays without the proper adapter or mounting hardware.
- For older systems, verify that your BIOS, operating system, and storage controller support 4TB drives.
- 4TB drives may require GPT formatting instead of MBR to use the full capacity.
- For RAID, NAS, DVR, and NVR systems, matching the original drive type is recommended when possible.
- SATA drives can work in many SAS backplanes, but system/controller compatibility should be verified before ordering.
