They are interchangeable only when the bracket, display connections, memory configuration, and system requirements match.

✅ Confirmed Compatibility

Compatibility is configuration dependent. Systems in these families were offered with different graphics cards, bracket heights, power supplies, and display connections. Verify the original card number, chassis type, available PCIe x16 slot, bracket height, and required outputs before installation.

⚙️ Fit Notes

  • The primary KH285, UC996, Y8365, XG857, and P5288 card family uses a full-height bracket with DVI-I, VGA, and S-Video/TV-out.
  • This is a PCI Express x16 card. It will not install in PCI-only, PCI-X, or AGP graphics slots.
  • A physically compatible PCIe slot does not guarantee BIOS or operating-system compatibility.
  • The 432629-001 revision uses a 128MB HyperMemory configuration and is not physically identical to every dedicated-memory, triple-output card.
  • The 39J9635 revision is a low-profile DMS-59 card and requires the appropriate DMS-59 monitor breakout cable. It is not a direct connector-for-connector substitute for a DVI/VGA/S-Video card.
  • DY596A-style revisions use DVI-I and TV-out and may require a DVI-to-VGA adapter when connecting an analog VGA monitor.
  • Some retail X300 SE boards provide composite video instead of S-Video. Inspect the connector before substitution.
  • DVI-I can carry digital and analog video when the board supports both. A DVI-D-only connection cannot use a passive VGA adapter.
  • S-Video is an analog TV-output connection and is not HDMI or DisplayPort.
  • No HDMI, DisplayPort, HDCP, or modern high-resolution digital-video capability should be assumed.
  • Official driver support is primarily for legacy operating systems. Confirm driver availability before installing the card in a newer operating system.
  • Video card only unless cables, adapters, or DMS-59 breakout accessories are specifically stated as included.
