- This listing is for the controller board only. Cache memory, battery, battery cable, SAS data cable and mounting hardware are not included.
- Verify that the system accepts the low-profile 504022-001 configuration. The related 504023-001 controller may use a different bracket or physical configuration.
- The removable 256MB and 512MB cache modules are not interchangeable with cache boards from newer controller generations.
- RAID 6 / Advanced Data Guard requires the appropriate 512MB BBWC cache and battery configuration.
- Battery-cable length is system-specific. Use 409124-001 for compatible 11.5-inch installations or 409125-001 for compatible 24-inch installations.
- The correct SAS cable depends on the server backplane. The 361316-011 cable is one compatible 24-inch option but is not universal across every chassis.
- This removable PCIe controller is different from the integrated P400i controller found on certain system boards.
- Update the controller firmware to the latest version supported by the destination system before configuring the array.
- Shut down the system and disconnect power before installing or replacing the controller.
