✅ Confirmed Compatibility
Please note that compatibility depends on the server’s exact chassis, cooling configuration, fan performance class, connector, and original part number. Compare the existing fan assembly before ordering.
✔️ PowerEdge R320: 4 x 3.5-inch cabled-drive chassis, 4 x 3.5-inch hot-plug-drive chassis, and 8 x 2.5-inch hot-plug-drive chassis
✔️ PowerEdge R320 Fan Configurations: Four cooling fans with a non-redundant power supply or five cooling fans with redundant power supplies
✔️ PowerEdge R620: 8 x 2.5-inch and 10 x 2.5-inch chassis configurations using seven internal cooling fans
✔️ PowerEdge R630: Compatible configurations using the matching standard-performance 6-pin fan module, including systems accepting F1YN7 or 14VG6 as a replacement fan
✔️ PowerVault NX400: R320-based 1U storage-system configurations using the matching fan assembly
✔️ PowerVault NX3300: R620-based 1U storage-system configurations using seven internal cooling fans
✔️ PowerVault DL4000: R620-based 1U backup-appliance configurations using the matching fan module
✔️ OEM Ready Platforms: OEMR R320, OEMR R620, and OEMR XL R620 systems with the corresponding 6-pin cooling-fan configuration

⚙️ Fit Notes
✓ Match the original fan part number, 6-pin connector, housing shape, mounting tabs, and airflow orientation before ordering.
✓ The
1.82A rating applies to the GFC0412DS / 14VG6 version. Other system-approved replacement versions may display different amperage and manufacturer model numbers.
✓ R630 systems were produced with several fan models and performance levels. Compare the original fan carefully, particularly in 10-bay, 24-bay, or higher-performance configurations.
✓ Cooling fans are hot-swappable in the R620 and R630. Replace only one fan at a time and do not operate the system with its cover removed for more than five minutes.
✓ R320 and NX400 cooling fans are
not hot-swappable. Shut down the system and disconnect power before replacement.
✓ Do not substitute a generic 40mm fan. The connector pinout, system communication, housing, airflow performance, and mounting arrangement must match.
✓ Fan speed may increase temporarily during startup or when the system detects elevated temperatures, unsupported expansion hardware, missing covers, or altered cooling components.
✓ Reinstall all required fans, cooling shrouds, covers, and blanks before returning the system to normal operation.
