⚙️ Fit Notes

  • This is a DC-input power supply. It does not accept 100–240V AC power.
  • A standard IEC C13, C14, C19 or C20 power cable cannot be connected to this unit.
  • The input requires a 6RYJ9 terminal block or an approved equivalent mating connector.
  • Installation requires an electrically isolated and reliably grounded −48 to −60V DC SELV source.
  • Source and return wiring must use 10-AWG copper conductors rated for at least 90°C.
  • Maximum recommended conductor length is 2 meters.
  • The DC branch circuit requires 50A overcurrent protection with a high DC interrupt rating.
  • Use black wire for the negative −48/−60V source, red wire for DC return and green/yellow wire for safety ground.
  • Reversing input polarity may permanently damage the power supply or system.
  • DC input wiring should be completed by a qualified electrician or properly trained service technician.
  • Never mix AC-input and DC-input power supplies in the same system.
  • When multiple PSUs are installed, they must be the same input type and maximum output wattage.
  • R520 and R620 systems configured for the 1100W option require both PSU bays to be populated.
  • R720 and R720xd systems support two matching supplies in a 1+1 redundant configuration.
  • R920 systems may support as many as four matching 1100W DC modules.
  • Hot replacement is permitted only when the system is operating in a supported redundant configuration and the applicable service procedure is followed.
  • Not compatible with PowerEdge T320 or T420. Those systems’ service documentation specifies AC power supplies.
