Internal tray-loading DVD and CD burner with a standard full-width black bezel for compatible desktops, workstations, tower servers, and industrial computer systems. This drive reads and records DVD±R, rewritable DVD media, dual-layer DVDs, CDs, and CD-RW media through a standard SATA connection.
SATA cable, mounting rails, guide screws, drive-cage hardware, software, external enclosure, and computer are not included unless specifically shown.
Published recording speeds are maximum ratings. Actual speed depends on the installed mechanism, disc type, media certification, recording software, system performance, and disc condition.

Pair this drive with the 5.25-Inch SATA Optical Drive External USB 3.2 Enclosure to use it as an external USB DVD/CD reader and burner.
The enclosure accepts standard 5.25-inch SATA optical drives up to 172mm deep, supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 / USB 3.0 connectivity at up to 5Gb/s, and uses an external 12V power adapter. The enclosure is sold separately and does not include an optical drive.
Compatibility requires a true external 5.25-inch half-height bay, sufficient rear clearance, a standard SATA data port, SATA power, and the appropriate chassis-specific mounting hardware. Model names can cover multiple chassis sizes; the listed chassis qualification must be followed.
✔️ OptiPlex Systems: 330, 360, 380, 390, 580, 740, 745, 755, 760, 780, 790, 960, 980, 990, XE, 3010, 7010, and 9010 Mini Tower or Desktop configurations with a full-size optical bay; 9020 Mini Tower only
Small Form Factor, Ultra Small Form Factor, and Micro versions that use 9.5mm or 12.7mm slim optical drives are not compatible.
✔️ Inspiron and Dimension Desktops: Dimension 1000, Dimension 2010, Inspiron 518, 519, 535, 535s, 537, 537s, 545, 545s, 546, 546s, 560, 560s, 570, 580, 580s, 620, 620s, 660, 660s, and 3847
Several “s” chassis mount a full-size optical drive vertically and remain compatible. Confirm the installed bay rather than judging compatibility by chassis width alone.
✔️ Vostro Desktops: 200, 220, 220s, 230, 230s, 260, 260s, 270s, 400, 410, 420, 430, 460, 470, and A180
✔️ Studio and XPS Desktops: Studio Desktop D540, Studio Slim D540S, Studio XPS 435 MT, Studio XPS 435T/9000, Studio XPS 7100, 8000, 8100, and 9100; XPS 430, 625, 630i, 730x, 8500, 8700, and 8900
✔️ Alienware Desktop Systems: Area-51, Area-51 ALX, Aurora, Aurora ALX, Aurora R2, and Aurora R3 configurations with a standard full-size SATA optical bay
✔️ Precision Workstations: T1500, T1600, T3400, T3500, T5400, T5500, T7400, and T7500
✔️ Selected Later Precision Workstations: T3600, T5600, T7600, T3610, T5610, T7610, and Tower 5810 only when installing the drive in the separate full-size 5.25-inch media/device bay with the correct cage, retention hardware, and SATA cabling
These later workstations can also have a factory slim optical-drive position. HDD0H does not replace a 9.5mm or 12.7mm factory slim drive.
✔️ PowerEdge Tower Servers: 1900, 2900, T100, T105, T110, T110 II, T300, T310, T320, T410, T420, T605, T610, T620, T630, and T710 configurations with the standard SATA optical-drive bay
✔️ PowerVault Storage: NX200 configurations equipped with the full-size 16X SATA optical-drive provision
✔️ Compaq Pro Business Desktops: 6000 Pro MT/SFF, 6005 Pro MT/SFF, 6080 Pro MT, 6200 Pro MT/SFF, 6300 Pro MT/SFF, and 6305 Pro MT/SFF
These SFF generations use a true full-size 5.25-inch optical bay and should not be confused with later slim-drive SFF designs.
✔️ Elite Business Desktops: 8000 Elite, 8100 Elite, 8200 Elite, and 8300 Elite CMT, MT, and SFF configurations
USDT and All-in-One versions are excluded.
✔️ EliteDesk Towers: 800 G1 Tower, 800 G2 Tower, and 800 G3 Tower when using the separate full-size 5.25-inch expansion bay
The normal factory optical-drive position on these towers can be a slim bay. HDD0H fits the separate 5.25-inch bay, not the slim-drive opening.
✔️ ProDesk Desktops: 400 G1 Microtower, 490 G1 Microtower, and 600 G1 Tower
The 600 G1 SFF uses a slim optical drive and is not compatible with this full-size drive.
✔️ Z-Series Workstations: Z200 CMT/SFF, Z220 CMT/SFF, Z400, Z420, Z600, Z620, Z800, and Z820
✔️ ThinkCentre Desktops: M72e Small/Tower, M82 Small/Tower, M92 Small/Tower, M92p Small/Tower, M83 SFF/Tower, M93 SFF/Tower, and M93p SFF/Tower
Tiny configurations are excluded. The listed Small and SFF generations use a standard 5.25-inch x 1.6-inch optical-drive bay.
✔️ ThinkStation E-Series: E31 Tower/SFF and E32 Tower/SFF
E32 SFF compatibility requires Bay 2 to remain configured as a standard full-size 5.25-inch optical bay. Systems converted to the optional slim-drive and hard-drive cage require a different optical drive.
✔️ ThinkStation Workstations: S10, S20, C20, C20x, D20, S30, C30, and D30
✔️ Standard and Custom Systems: Any desktop, workstation, tower server, industrial computer, or custom chassis with an unobstructed 5.25-inch half-height external bay, approximately 170mm of drive depth plus cable clearance, standard SATA data, SATA power, and compatible mounting hardware

☑️ Well suited for bulk refurbishment and standardized spare-parts inventories
✓ This is a standard 5.25-inch half-height desktop optical drive, not a 3.5-inch drive and not a 9.5mm or 12.7mm slim drive.
✓ Requires a full-size 5.25-inch bay, standard 7-pin SATA data, 15-pin SATA power, and approximately 170mm of internal depth.
✓ Cross-reference only black-bezel 16X SATA DVD±RW burner drives. Do not substitute DVD-ROM-only, CD/DVD combo, IDE/PATA, Blu-ray, or different-color models.
✓ Transfer any chassis-specific rails, guide screws, retaining clips, or mounting hardware from the original drive.
✓ Interchangeable models provide the same fit, SATA connection, and DVD/CD burning function, but minor bezel details such as the button, LED, or printed symbols may vary.
