Discrete TPM 2.0 security module for compatible MSI motherboards equipped with the matching 14-1 pin LPC JTPM1 header. Built around the Infineon OPTIGA SLB 9665TT2.0 security controller, this compact module provides hardware-protected cryptographic key generation and storage, platform measurements, device authentication, and attestation.

Supports TPM-dependent security features such as BitLocker, Windows Hello, measured boot, device encryption, and enterprise health attestation when supported by the motherboard BIOS, operating system, and complete system configuration.

⚙️ Fit Notes

✓ This is not a universal 14-pin TPM module. Confirm the motherboard specifically uses the MSI 14-1 pin LPC JTPM1 pinout.
✓ It is not compatible with 12-1 pin SPI modules such as MS-4462 or 9672, 20-pin server TPM headers, or same-size TPM modules designed for other motherboard brands.
✓ Intel 400-series and newer boards and AMD B550, A520, X570S MAX, WRX80, and newer AM5 platforms generally use a different SPI TPM module.

✓ Verify that the module is the TPM 2.0 version with the SLB 9665TT2.0 controller. 914-4136-103 and MS-4136 VER:1.0 are TPM 1.2 versions.

✓ Shut down the computer, disconnect AC power, and observe ESD precautions before installation. Align the blocked position with the missing header pin and never force or hot-plug the module.

✓ In BIOS, enable Security Device Support and select dTPM / Discrete TPM when that option is available. PTT or AMD fTPM may need to be disabled when choosing the discrete module.

✓ Back up all BitLocker recovery keys before replacing or clearing any TPM. Clearing the TPM can permanently remove keys required to access encrypted data.

✓ TPM 2.0 alone does not make a computer Windows 11 compatible. The processor, UEFI mode, Secure Boot capability, system firmware, memory, and other requirements must also qualify.
