⚠️ Important Compatibility Information
- Designed for standard 40-pin desktop IDE/PATA interfaces.
- Not directly compatible with 44-pin laptop IDE, SATA, SCSI, or SAS connections.
- The host BIOS or controller must support a 2GB ATA storage device.
- Very old systems with a 528MB BIOS addressing limit may not recognize the card correctly or may use only part of its capacity.
- Master or Slave jumper selection must match the original drive configuration and IDE cable arrangement.
- Some industrial and embedded systems require a specific drive geometry, sector count, or fixed-disk identification.
- For sector-by-sector cloning, the destination card must contain at least as many addressable sectors as the original drive. Matching the rounded capacity printed on the label is not sufficient.
- This adapter is not a fully enclosed 3.5-inch drive. Secure mounting may require a customer-supplied bracket, tray, or insulated mounting method.
